Over 30,000 Jamaicans due their second dose are being urged to come out and get the jab as the authorities race against time to vaccinate as many people as possible before a set of doses expire tomorrow.

That’s the appeal from Director of Family Health Services, Dr. Melody Ennis.

More than 60,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine are due to expire at midnight tomorrow.

It’s not known at this time how many doses have been used from this batch.

Dr. Ennis says they’re on mission to get the shots into the arms of as many people as possible.

The Family Health Services Director is also assuring persons who’re fearful, that the health authorities will not be administering any expired vaccines to Jamaicans.
