Opposition Leader, Portia Simpson-Miller, this afternoon accused the Government of failing to take into consideration the most vulnerable while it moves to execute plans to raise the income tax threshold to 1-point-5-million dollars.

She also criticized the 14-billion dollar tax package.

Mrs. Simpson Miller called on Prime Minister Andrew Holness to disclose what he intends to do to improve the lives of minimum wage earners.

Meanwhile, the Former Prime Minister in her presentation called for a national consultation on Education while criticizing Education Minister Ruel Reid’s management of the portfolio.

Mrs. Simpson Miller accused the Government of not making adequate provisions in the budget to fulfill its promises to improve conditions in the Education Sector.
