Reports reaching our news centre are that there’s an outbreak of Covid-19 at the Duhaney Park Police lock-up in St. Andrew with the majority of inmates testing positive for the virus.

Nineteen of 24 inmates in custody at the lock-up have reportedly tested positive for Covid-19. It’s understood that five inmates have declined to be tested for the virus.

There are reportedly four cells and one holding area at the Duhaney Park lock-up.

Health authorities have reportedly been advised of the development.

Some of the inmates are symptomatic, while others are displaying no symptoms.
