Another person has died from COVID-19 in the Ministry of Health’s latest round of test results. The deceased is a 42 year old female from Manchester. This brings the COVID-19 death toll to 323.
The Ministry also disclosed two coincidental deaths. One of them was previously under investigation. Meanwhile, the country recorded 77 cases in the latest round of test results. The Health Ministry says this brings the total number of cases to 13- thousand 9-hundred and 92.
Seven-hundred and 84 samples were tested. This represents a positivity rate of 9.8%.
Majority of the cases are from Kingston and St. Andrew which recorded 44 cases. St. Elizabeth and St. Thomas followed with 7 cases each. St. Catherine recorded six cases, while St. Mary recorded 4. Both Clarendon and Manchester had three cases each. There were two cases in St. Ann and a single case in Trelawny. There were no cases in Hanover, Portland, St. James and Westmoreland.
In the meantime, recoveries in the latest update stands at 38. This brings recoveries to 11,630. The number of people hospitalised has increased by 12 in the last 24 hours. One-hundred and seven are hospitalised, 18 are moderately ill and eight are critical.
