Jamaica’s COVID-19 positivity rate has dropped to 16.6%.
In its latest update, the Ministry of Health reported that 88 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
The cases come from 587 samples tested.
36 of the new cases are from St. Catherine.
Four new COVID-19 deaths were recorded.
More than 3000 Jamaicans have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
There were 168 recoveries reported in the update.
133 people are hospitalised with COVID.
37 are moderately ill, 14 are severely ill and 4 are critical.
89% of those hospitalised are unvaccinated.
