The Caribbean Examination Council, CXC, says it will be reducing the fee for students who wish to query their grades for this year’s exams.

CXC Registrar, Dr. Wayne Wesley, says the Council will also extend the deadline for examinees to request a review of their results.

CXC made the announcement at a press conference on Sunday.

The move comes after an independent review of CXC’s systems triggered by several complaints of inconsistent grades.

The Registrar says the normal process which may result in grades being decreased will also be suspended.

Dr. Wesley also says more capacity will be added to ensure quick turn around of queries.
