Two men were charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition in separate incidents in Clarendon and Kingston.

The suspects are twenty-one-year-old Andrew Benton otherwise called ‘Que’, of Gibb Town, Water Lane, Clarendon and 23-year-old Travis Davis of John Street, Kingston 16.

Benton was also charged for an attempted Robbery with Aggravation and Wounding with Intent on Friday, October 9.

Reports are that about 4:30 p.m., the complainant was at work when two men approached him and shot him.

He was taken to hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.

Benton was pointed out during an identification parade last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Davis was arrested and charged following an incident along Half-Way-Tree Road on Wednesday, August 19.

Reports are that about 10:50 p.m., the complainants were having a conversation when two armed men demanded money.

A licensed firearm holder reportedly saw what was happening and opened fire, hitting one of the men.

He was taken to hospital where he was admitted under police guard.

One Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol along with eleven rounds of ammunition were handed over to the Police.

The accused was charged after a question and answer session.

Both court dates are to be finalized.
