Past President of the Jamaica Medical Doctors’ Association, JMDA, Dr. Alfred Dawes, says another lockdown is likely if pressure continues to mount on the health sector.

Dr Dawes says being forced to shut down the tourism sector again due to a significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases would be a disaster.

He says pre-testing is the way to go, with the possibility of a COVID tax on visitors to cover the costs.
