Government Senator, Robert Morgan, is dismissing as false and inflammatory an allegation from PNPYO President, Krystal Tomlinson, that the administration is only concerned about securing St. James because that’s where most white people in Jamaica are located.
Miss Tomlinson made the allegation on the weekend.
Senator Morgan says Miss Tomlinson should hold members of the Opposition accountable for earlier this year voting down the state of public emergency in sections of the Corporate Area, including the Kingston Central Division.
The Government Senator says it’s troubling that since that decision by the PNP, an over 80% decline in murders in the corporate area has been reversed and there’s been an increase in some areas, including the Kingston Central Division.
Senator Morgan says Miss Tomlinson’s suggestion that the Government is only interested in protecting white people is false and retrograde political rhetoric.
