Confessed multiple murderer, Rushane Barnett’s attorney, Tamika Harris, has opposed the recommendation that he should not be given a reduction in sentence.
Miss Harris, who is providing legal aid representation to Barnett, says he deserves leniency, as he did not waste the court’s time.
Miss Harris says the court should consider Barnett’s age and that his social enquiry report found that he expressed remorse and wished to tell the victims’ mother and grandmother that he was sorry.
She says his parents indicated he was well behaved when growing up.
Miss Harris pleaded with the judge not to allow social media to influence the sentence handed down to her client.
