Barnett is accused of slaying Ms Wright and her four children in Cocoa Piece, Clarendon on Tuesday. He reportedly confessed to the killing while being interviewed by the police on Wednesday night.

The police say Barnett was charged after he gave a caution statement.

He was apprehended at his parents’ home in Trelawny after being named a person of interest in the grizzly killing.

Reports indicate Barnett was staying with Ms Wright in Clarendon having fled Trelawny due to a lottery scamming dispute.
