Minister with responsibility for Information, Karl Samuda, has announced a new Board for the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.
Minister Samuda made the announcement at a post-Cabinet media conference at the office of the Prime Minister this morning.
Six members of the previous 15-member board have been retained, with Marigold Harding continuing as Chairperson.
Donahue Martin has been promoted to Vice Chairman.
He replaces Sheryn Hylton-Parker, who reportedly resigned over a week ago.
The creative arts institution was thrust into the spotlight after allegations of sexual harassment became public recently.
The school’s Principal, Dr. Nicholeen DeGrasse-Johnson has since been suspended to facilitate the investigation, sparking two demonstrations by staff and students.
