The new toll increases for all legs of Highway 2000 East-West are set to take effect on July 9.
The increases follow feedback from the public.
Chief Executive Officer of the Toll Authority, Lerone Laing says there was overwhelming feedback from the public about the economics of increasing toll fees on consumers at this time.
But he noted that the toll operators had to consider their own constraints.
The increases are between 9 and 26 per cent.
Meanwhile, some motorists who use the Portmore leg of the highway will benefit from a discount.
Mr. Laing while speaking with Nationwide News advised that the motorist must be a T-Tag customer to benefit.
The new discount will take effect after the 10th trip on the Portmore toll.
Only class 1 and 2 vehicles will benefit from the discount.
