The National Housing Trust is to start focusing on building houses for middle and very low income earners.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness made the disclosure while speaking at the ground breaking of the Villa Ronai housing project yesterday.
Holness, in his capacity of Minister of Economic Growth and Job Creation says the lack of housing for this demographic group is the reason for squatters in the country.
He said they’ve already made headway into building around twenty houses despite some challenges.
The Prime Minister is also depending on the private sector to help build more houses.
