Nationwide News understands that PNP YO President, Krystal Tomlinson, is set to be confirmed as the party’s candidate for businesswoman and Olympian, Juliet Cuthbert Flynn’s, West Rural St. Andrew constituency.

PNP sources say Miss Tomlinson’s candidacy has been approved by the party’s top brass and other organs of the party.

Tomlinson is expected to be announced as the PNP candidate in the next few weeks.

The announcement is to take place after Miss Tomlinson appears before the party’s Integrity Commission.

PNP General Secretary, Julian Robinson, told Nationwide News today that the party is very close to finalizing its candidate for West Rural St. Andrew.

He says an announcement will be made soon.

But Mr. Robinson declined to confirm or deny that Miss Tomlinson is likely to be the candidate.

West Rural St. Andrew is traditionally considered a marginal or battleground seat.

But the constituency swung to the JLP in the 2016 General Elections.

Mrs. Cuthbert Flynn defeated the then incumbent, the PNP’s Paul Buchanan by 2225 votes.
