One hundred and fifty-eight new Covid-19 cases were reported in the past 24 hours. They come from 801 samples tested.
The Ministry of Health also reported a positivity rate of 22 per cent in its latest update.
There are now more than 141,000 positive cases recorded in the island. Majority of the new cases are from Kingston and St. Andrew with 39, while St. Catherine follows closely with 36.
One fatality was recorded.
More than 3,000 people in Jamaica have died of Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic. There were 92 recoveries in the update.
One hundred and thirty-one people are hospitalised with Covid. Thirty-five are moderately ill, 11 are severely ill, while four are critical.
Eighty-eight per cent of those hospitalised with Covid-19 were unvaccinated.
