Jamaica Manufacturers’ and Exporters’ Association, JMEA, President, Richard Pandohie, says he’ll be urging Caribbean leaders meeting in St. Lucia to work towards ensuring a drastic improvement in hassle free travel across the region.

Mr. Pandohie is in St. Lucia as a representative of Jamaica’s private sector at the conference.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness is leading Jamaica’s delegation at the Heads of Government conference.

Mr. Pandohie says he’s impressed by the Prime Minister’s push to have CARICOM take action on a series of issues including trade and the impediments to free travel which have affected the region for a long time.

Mr. Pandohie says the presence of a private sector representative at the summit is an important development.
