PNP President, Dr. Peter Phillips says he will secure a comfortable victory in the expected party Presidential race against Peter Bunting in September.

Dr. Phillips was speaking on Nationwide this morning with Kalilah Reynolds and Dennis Brooks.

The party leader also responded to his favourability at the polls and criticisms that he hasn’t energised the PNP.

He cautioned persons not to mistake hype for organisation.

Dr. Phillips says he’s not expecting anything less than a comfortable victory in just over a month when delegates head to the polls to select the PNP’s President.

The incumbent leader told Nationwide’s Dennis Brooks he has been receiving great support on the ground.

Dr. Phillips further stated that he hasn’t prepared for anything else but a comfortable victory.

Meanwhile, the Peter Bunting-led camp has expressed the need for the party to be re-energised. Mr. Bunting has campaigned on the point that this cannot be done under Dr. Phillips’ leadership.

The Party leader this morning contended that hype should not be mistaken for organisation.

The PNP leader says the energy of the party is reflected in its policy work and being an active Opposition in Parliament.

The party leader also responded to his favourability at the polls and its impact on the PNP’s victory in another general election.
