Prime Minister Andrew Holness is urging some local pastors to desist from imposing their religious beliefs about the COVID-19 vaccine on their congregations.
Scores of religious-minded persons across the country have refused to be vaccinated on the instruction of their religious leaders.
The Prime Minister says while religious leaders are free to preach, they have a responsibility not to try to discourage congregants from being vaccinated.
Mr. Holness says persons with religious beliefs should be free to make their own choices regarding vaccination.
