The People’s National Party, PNP, say they’ll establish a Mediation Committee, following its bruising internal presidential election.
The committee was announced by PNP General Secretary, Julian Robinson.
He says defeated presidential aspirant, Central Manchester MP, Peter Bunting, will speak at the public session of the PNP’s Annual Conference on Sunday.
Meanwhile, some members sympathetic to Mr. Bunting’s Rise United Campaign and those who’ve aligned themselves to PNP President, Dr. Peter Phillips’, One PNP campaign have been trading jibes on social media since the party’s delegates voted to retain Dr Phillips as president on September 7.
PNP Chairman, Fitz Jackson, says senior party members have been working behind the scenes to restore cordial relations.
Both were speaking at a media conference to launch the PNP’s Annual Conference, slated for this Saturday and Sunday.
The conference is being held under the theme WOW: Work, Organize, Win.
