President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, PSOJ, Keith Duncan, says while businesses will be affected by the tighter restrictions, the control of the current Covid-19 spike is of utmost importance.

The government announced five additional no movement days to go along with the one this coming Sunday which was part of the first cycle.

The restrictions continue as the country battles the third wave of Covid-19 cases.

Mr. Duncan is asserting that private sector companies must step up in assisting the Government to manage the pandemic and promote vaccinations.

And, the PSOJ President says a task force is needed to assist in the country’s vaccination efforts.

He added that the private sector will greatly contribute to reducing the logistical issues being faced by the Government.
