Justice Minister, Senator Mark Golding, says the Government will soon resume sittings of the Committee that’s reviewing wide-ranging reforms to the Sexual Offences Act.
The Committee has not met since last year.
There’s been a reported increase in sex crimes over the past few months.
Senator Golding was responding to concerns raised by Opposition Spokeswoman on Youth, Senator Kamina Johnson Smith.

Senator Johnson Smith chided the Government for not considering the reforms in a timely manner.
The debate in Parliament comes as the nation marks 16 days of activism to end violence against women and girls.
