The Standpipe Sports complex was officially re-opened on Friday.

The rehabilitation of the facility was a collaboration involving the Jamaican Government, United States Embassy, Musson Foundation and the Church of St. Margaret.

Chairperson of Musson Foundation, Melanie Subratie, says her team believe in the power of sports and the importance of empowering the community to uplift the youths and the Jamaican people.

The Ministry of Sports through the Sports Development Foundation, contributed $1 million toward the project.
