Head of the Met Office, Evon Thompson, says early next week Jamaica should get some much-needed rainfall associated with Tropical Storm, Gonzalo.

Mr. Thompson says it’s early days yet to accurately predict how close to Jamaica the storm may pass.

But, he says there should be increased rainfall around Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

As of this afternoon, Tropical Storm Gonzalo continued Westward in the Caribbean Sea.

A Hurricane Watch is currently in effect for Barbados and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

But, Mr. Thompson says Gonzalo is not expected to be a major hurricane.
