Two female players from the Majesty Gardens basketball team are set to leave for the United States on basketball scholarships tomorrow.
Tahjera Forbes of the Queens school and Leka Reid of Haile Selassie High, were offered scholarships to the North Florida Educational Institute while attending the JaBa Star Search basketball camp this summer at the GC Foster College.
Both girls are amongst four participants of the Southern Basketball Conference life skill and basketball programme in the community who were offered these scholarships.
The others, Fabian Kennedy of Camperdown High, left the island two weeks ago to commence his tenure, while 15-year-old Jennell Houston also of Haile Selassie, is scheduled to depart in October.
