Popular American ride-sharing company, Uber, has launched a new service for the country’s health care workers called “Uber Medics”.
The service is available from today June 22 through to July 22, 2021.
Under the service health care workers at eleven hospitals across Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Catherine will benefit from up to a 50-percent discount once they book an Uber to and from participating hospitals and health centers.
The University Hospital of the West Indies, Spanish Town Hospital and the Kingston Public Hospital are among the facilities listed by Uber.
To obtain the discount, health care workers will be required to enter the promo code UBERMEDICJA.
Uber launched in Jamaica last week and began offering rentals in Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Catherine.
