Unico Brand Plans Multimillion Dollar Investment In Jamaica

Cabinet Minister, Daryl Vaz, says the Unico brand which operates the international Hardrock hotel and casino franchise has agreed to a multi-million dollar investment in Jamaica.

Minister Vaz says ground could be broken in Jamaica by the end of the year for investment.

He says the investors have already privately purchased land in Montego Bay, St James to start the Hard Rock Hotel and Unico brand on a single property.

Minister Vaz says the planned investment is significant.

Minister Vaz was making his contribution to the sectoral debate in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
